Stephen Yu, MPlan, RPP, MCIP
Manager of Planning
Stephen joined Invistec in 2015 after completing the Master of Planning program at the University of Calgary. A former graduate of the Urban Development program at Western University, Stephen has a passion for human activity and its impact on development decisions, and believes that the successful implementation of great ideas remains the planning professions’ biggest struggle.
During his time at Invistec, Stephen has developed his skills to become well rounded as both a designer of and policy writer for sustainable communities. He now uses those skills to lead Invistec's team of planners and technicians, and manages all aspects of Invistec's planning projects. Stephen is trained in his IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation, and completed the Introduction to Gender-based Analysis+ (GBA+) training.
Stephen is an active member of his community, donating his time to organizations he is passionate about. An avid user of social media, Stephen believes in the benefits of social media for planners as a tool to increase the dialogue surrounding urban development.
