Dylan Friesen, E.I.T.
Dylan joined Invistec Consulting Ltd. in early 2017 following his graduation from the Civil Engineering Co-op program at the University of Alberta. As a student, he was a dedicated participant in the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR), a national engineering competition in which students design and construct 300lb toboggans of concrete and metal. Dylan went on to serve as a GNCTR executive, leading the design, testing and analysis of iterations of concrete mixes, and the final construction of concrete components. In his co-op terms he held positions with PCL and CN Rail, providing him a varied perspective on construction management across different industries. These experiences advanced Dylan’s interdisciplinary collaboration, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills - serving as the foundation of his growth as a valuable member of the Invistec team, and as an effective engineer.
Dylan has a natural passion for learning and challenging himself that extend into his hobbies, which include home-brewing and martial arts. This same passion finds itself well-placed in land development, where Dylan seeks exposure to the countless aspects and experiences of the industry, and stands ready meet every challenge with focus and consideration.
